Ah… Snacking. The Great American Past Time!
I’m sitting down to write this after I have spent the last 1.5 hours prepping my snacks for the week. My fridge is stocked and pantry is full of healthy, easy to grab snacks that will keep me focused and satisfied.
What’s on the menu, you ask? This week, I have a feeling I will be looking for some crunch, (stress-filled week) so I have prepped young radishes in bite sized slices for some tang, thinly sliced sweet peppers for the crunch and flavor, 3 different crispy apples, raw almonds, baked eggs (similar to boiled, but I don’t have to take the shells off), diced cantaloupe, baby carrots and homemade Rice Krispy treats to keep my sweet tooth in line during my sweet cravings week.
My #1 go-to snacks are cut-up veggies and portable fruits. (Think celery, cucumbers, broccoli, apples, bananas, etc.) However, like you, I lead a hectic life and don't always make it to the grocery store for my fresh fruits and vegetables. In this case, I have my 'go-to' favorites that I keep in my car, desk and purse. These snacks are portable, can last without refrigeration and can make it through a hot summer day in Florida without shriveling!

Life is hectic. It is not always easy to make the healthiest choices. By being prepared with a few healthy snack options, you can make it through the day without guilt or detours that can take away from your end goal or make you feel 'blah'.
